This is one of the most strange letters I received.
Mr Gonzorig Shagdarsuren send me statement of newly found M.M.A
This is propably some kind of invitation for visiting Gobi Desert and
cooperation between collectors.
I was only surprised where they found my complete address with home phone
its arrive the same to me today...but what is it???

I had always understood that, although there might be some good collecting
in the Gobi, it was very difficult. Anything found there was subject to
being confiscated by the Chinese government at their discretion, no matter

After a fairly long absence, I must weigh in on this. The Gobi Desert
occurs in both China and in Mongolia. The letter apparently was sent by a
person from Mongolia. As such, the Chinese Government is not the pertinent
governmental body in charge of permits or export. Second, the
