Regarding the May 8, 2010 RFSPOD
Some weeks ago I recieved confirmation that the little iron 'meteorite'
with the hole through the center is in fact pure iron, a man made
relic. All of you out there that knew it was too good to be true were
spot on!

With the recent talk on Tom Phillips and that I talk to him almost on a
daily basis, I thought I would share some information. Tom has added
some improvements to his scopes and has been for the last 4 months
imaging lots of material. Here is a list of what

McCartney Taylor on an awesome video to help out those less fortunate.

You are right- McCartney did an awesome job - he has got me on my
toes! However, if you look closely you will see he actually attached
it to my How to I.D. a meteorite video. It was one of the first
videos I ever posted (3 years ago) It now has nearly 120,000 views!

Had you thought of a volcanic bomb? These are ejecta
which can travel some distance before hitting ground,
depending on the strength of the eruption.
Do a search on google.com under volcanic bombs and
you'll get a lot of returns which have great photos.

Well to be fair he states he don't know what it is and doesn't care,
so he's really not being dishonest IMHO. He provided a number of
photos so as usual it's buyer beware. This isn't as bad as outright
non-meteorites on ebay being touted as meteorites. At least he knows
and says he's not
