Little addendum: in remembering the prices from past days, we always forget about the inflation. I just found that nice tool: http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ According this calculator, USA had an inflation of roughly 50% from 1990 to 2005. And 150% from 1980 to 2005. Sniff, I paid 2$/g 1986
