Where did you get that number (350pps) from Chris?
If you are relying on Torch for that number - - you will be surprised at the
different packet count by running packet sniffer.

Sounds like wireless interference - start a ping -t from your PC to a client
radio pulling off that AP, then change the channel you are broadcasting on
to another (1 6 or 11) channel and see if the ping times don't go down after
the CPE you are pinging re-associates.

I don't see why there would be a problem using those off frequency grids
since (as you stated) you can turn down the power output and then on top of
that you can point the antennas down or away from each other to lessen the
signal level even further if needed.

A better solution (IMHO) would be to limit your subs to 100pps (about
1500kbps limit w/1500byte packets) total incoming/outgoing. Not only would
it handle your problem, but would cure any DDOS attacks inbound and
outbound. It has worked miracles for us but ymmv.
