For 2.4 I use R52, unless I need better receive sensitivity, then SR2s.
I have RB411s with R52, ,SR2, SR9, and XR9. All work fine below 0
degrees here.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to mention that the Mikrotik

I have probably 500 or more in the field, and when we hit around 0degrees I
maybe lost 2 or 3. I think one of those was a 411r which are complete crap.

Matt, what kind of Radio card do you have in the 411s?
I've had good luck with 411s, and I've had days this year at -38 - (when it

Most of my 411s have XR2 cards.

Bet he has MT cards in them which run quite a bit cooler and don't keep
things as warm... Possibly also got snow discharge that blew them
out... But that's just an educated guess. We now look at the heat
from the UBNT cards as an enclosure heater.
These are running R52 cards.
Temps were around -10 when they crapped out. Signal dropped and then
they finally failed. I suppose I could try some R52H cards to see if
they warm them up enough.
I'm not the only one who has had these freezing problems. When I

first batch we got 3 years ago had a 90% failure rate after a few hours,
we went with something else.

Fascinating. The only radio cards that we've used have been the
Mikrotik ones (R52, R52H, and the n versions). I can't recall any of
them failing.
