You didn't mention how many ethernet ports, but there are a couple of RouterMaxx units that would do what you need; 6-port and 10-port. Neither requires a fan, and either will run circles around an RB493x. Get them at Baltic. bp On 8/5/2011 12:22 PM, Jon Crowell wrote: I am looking for

I'm using RB450Gs/493Gs to pass 50Mbps+ without any real issues. I'm looking at one right now that is running OSPF to 5 neighbors, 250~ routes and passing about 40Mbps as of this second at ~30% CPU. I have firewall rules for network security, nothing else. Been up for 83 days so far, no

LOL, voiding the warranty here (that's really a joke anyways if you have dealt with MT). So I take a 750, and bridge the power pins together so that I can do power on every port...which also powers the 750G. I can take a picture next time we do one if you like. Then I use a 24v POE from the

We are currently running 48volts up the tower via two conductor wire to a distribution block. The switch is a Cisco SRW208MP. Right now, the only device in that enclosure is a StarOS X4000 board - which runs on 48volts. We were figuring on a 48/24 VDC converter to run the Mikrotik router
