I think you're asking if your setup scripts (either hand-coded or exported)
from pre-6.42 routers will import on post-6.42 routers. Depending on what

MikroTik recently set up a blog specifically for breaking security issues, with

Only if you have MikroTik’s special NPK that allows you to view the file system

Otherwise, you should check for additional users, a change in your incoming
radius settings, new scripts and schedules, and additional PPTP secrets and
interfaces – that’s what showed up on mine when I got hit

You can get the model and MAC from exporting Devices / RouterOS / Device. But
no part of the Dude that I have ever seen deals with serial numbers. One could

You may be seeing maps managed by Mikrotik's Dude, which is free as long as you
have one of a handful of MT routers that can run the server (needs a TILE or an
inexpensive non-variant hEX). However, the client is built only for Windows.

I guess I don’t understand what you are asking. You say you don’t want to write

suggesting you would use to do that other than a script?

Not 100% sure exactly what you're asking.
limit-at is the guaranteed bandwidth. max-limit is the max bandwidth allowed,
as long as it is available. So a connection can use up to max-limit, but
during congestion periods is guaranteed no less than limit-at. (This is

I see a bunch of that as well, especially when my network is congested. I
suspect it means that the Dude isn't happy with the amount of time a response
is taking, because you are dropping a lot of packets or whatever. Eventually,
one of its probes gets through and it considers the device "up"
Kind of depends what tool you use to remote into it, and what functions might
block that. I install both mAP lite and hAP lite under CPEs (depending on
whether the customer needs more ports or fewer occupied outlets) and they work
identically for me.
If you turned ROMON on, you can pretty much

MikroTik default configuration firewall drops EVERYTHING coming into the WAN
port that isn't initiated from inside your network, or related to something
that was.

One reason is to augment MikroTik's rather limited support of UPS brands and
models.
You can power the main router at a remote tower or station dually from a UPS
via POE; and also from line power over the barrel jack at a different, higher
voltage. Then you run a simple periodic script to qu

Also, make sure you are running the very latest Winbox and Netinstall, as you
can get weird results if the card depends on newer versions of those tools.
That having been said, I have bought an occasional card on which the wireless
interface just flat doesn't show up. But not an entire shipment
