Please file a bug with the Debian mimedefang maintainer. Installing

hi,
I have a silly question. As i try to install mimedefang and postfix on
debian it seems debian want to install sendmail and remove postfix as
soon as i say the 'mimedefang' word. Is there any way to make this work
or are we doomed to sendmail on debian ?

hello,
I was searching how you can specify to mimedefang the spamassassin
plugins to load. I saw that SPF checking was not done by mimedefang so
it seems that it does not load the plugins. I haven't seen in the man
pages which files mimedefang look for the plugins of spamassassin, any
idea ?

just a little question, is anyone using nod32 on his server ? It seems
to receive some praise on the virus filtering world (or media should i

It seems that nod32 is replacing procmail or mail on the MTA to filter
the emails.

Hi,
I have some mail rejected by mimedefang but i cannot see why. I use it
in the default config file just to do clamav scanning and spamassassin
filtering and it works well (i have reject messages for spam and viruses
in the logs so all is fine). Nevertheless i have from time to time a :

Yes, lots of them. :-)
There is a minor security problem with MD <= 2.49, and MIME::Tools
older than the current release could decode things incorrectly.
Note that if you upgrade MIME::Tools, you should also upgrade
MIME::Base64.

I just took a like at File::Scan, but their site does not list
FreeBSD as supported system; only Linux. :(
ClamAV, which I am now testing, works as advertised. But I read
you get a "ClamAV installation is OUTDATED" message whenever
the update program decides you need a newer version.
