Hmm, this patch looks to me not 100% ok.
Making functions static inline seems to be not the proper thing to do
here AFAICS. This will lead to warning for cases those functions
aren't used. So I would think that attribute unused is missing here.
Additionally the 'inline' looks to me bogus.

Hi,
I replied already on IRC to vtorri for this patch. Issue I am
concerned is that the ..._r stuff isn't standard C stuff. Sure, as
vtorri told me, we provide gettimeofday too, which is a
Linux-C-runtime-function. I am not fond of providing this function by
default, but I remember strong
Hi Ruben,
this issue was reported already before. See our tracker. AFAIR this
issue will be addressed by niXman. Nevertheless it would be
interesting to learn when this issue can be resolved.

PS: Alexey, as told on IRC, this change needs to be tested pretty
intensive for 32-bit code, as in some context math changes.

Hi,
for sure there are some issues in gdb about debugging pe and pe+ coff
executables in some scenarios. For pe+ ones the backtrace shown by
gdb is much more reliable then for the 32-bit case, as pe+ makes use
of the function-tables, which helps on unwinding pretty much.
Nevertheless there are

So things are clear, dw please apply your patch. It is indeed better
to change flags - if possible - just once.

Hi Rashad,
I believe this is given by the 32 bit implementation of Win32 API

implemented as 64bit). The system simply does not allow you to allocate

Issue here is that referenced object 'unsigned int' has different size
to 'size_t' on Windows. Means that function might set only lower
32-bit to something meaningful, and so passing a size_t pointer to it
could lead to corrupted value in it.
Kai
didn't into this before on irc but
could we add something similar to this in header in mingw64
#define _lfind(a,b,c,d,e) _lfind(a,b,(unsigned int*)c,d,e)
Which explicitly casts it to (unsigned int *)
Would this solve anything
?
Many Thanks
