While in Japan I have been intrigued by this machine: http://onkyodirect.jp/pc/dx/ I'd love to see a dmesg if someone has one. If someone has one laying around I'd like to touch it for a few weeks. I suspect pretty bad ACPI and other neat issues that need fixing.

Hi there, I switched to a new DSL provider, and this provider assigns an IP address using DHCP. No problem, a hostname.msk1 with just "dhcp" in it works great. When digging a bit deeper (purely out of interest), I noticed that /sbin/dhclient-script explicitly does: route add $new_ip_address 127.
