Thank you. :)
Yes, OpenBSD has /var/log/maillog. The extra logging didn't seem to be
going there, but maybe it was. I'll try it again in a few days when
I've got a brake from work.

Hi all,
I'm trying to troubleshot an issue I'm having by using "smtpctl trace
all" but all I get is "command succeeded" and then no output. Is this
a known bug?

Do you mean on my local server or my remote server (or both)?
My local server 587 is *sort of* authenticated by the client
certificate (if it works how I think it does). I was coping the idea

Hi,
So after a lot of tinkering I've gotten my little personal email
server running just how I want it, however this is my first email
server, and I'm feeling a little paranoid that I might have left
something stupidly open. I'm already seeing quite a few spammers
trying to use my server and being

Hi all.
I'm on OpenSMTPD 7.0.0 and am trying out queue encryption.
Almost any key that I try errors with "smtpd: crypto_setup:invalid key

Might not be what you want, but this two part guide includes a simple
catchall inbox in part two:

It also does use a @ in the aliases file. Does this only work with
virtual users?

That's a good idea. I had considered using a proxy in the past but
found the set up of OpenSMTPd so easy that I stuck to that. I'm sure
there was another reason why I didn't do it, but I can't think what
now. I'll have another look.

Yes I agree. I've tried to pick a hosting provider that I "trust
Hello,
I'm currently setting up a somewhat unique personal email server. I
have a local server (Raspberry Pi) and a remote server (VPS running
OpenBSD). Emails are sent to the remote server and are then relayed to
my local server. When I send an email it goes from my local server to
