I'm asking this because standalone players are quite anal w.r.t. the
lt to tell which way the market will go.
However, the vast majority of the newer DVD players will happily play
both formats, even when they only advertise one of them. Strange, isn't?
On the side of the old-ish players, DVD-R has slightly bigger chances to
play without problems.

In any case, the problem occurs with only one DVD. Other disks that i
tried are fine. The weird thing is, that DVD is otherwise Ok, it can be

high? (i thought there's a limit imposed by the DVD standard that's

While i suspect that increasing -q will produce a similar decrease in
space requirements, i'd rather try -N first.

That generated the binary packages, which i then installed.
If you're using Intel CPUs, replace "athlon" with "i686".
