First, I know I asked these before but I really need to know since the
original belts are too small now. I changed the alternator but forgot to
switch the pulleys, now my alternator doesn't charge until past 3000 rpms, so
I guess the pulley that the new one has is bigger. Anybody know the size o

The MFA might not use rpm in it's mpg estimate but...
Why would it monitor rpm at all? It certainly does not need it for any
other function. If you put it in test mode, one of the readings is rpm.
The mpg would be more accurate this way too since fuel efficency changes
with load and rpm. I mea

If anyone has this info, please share with the list. I'm also needing some
parts from a Canadian Corrado (seatbelt conversion), and I'm in Toronto
(Bathurst and Steeles area) frequently.

I'd guess that missing either rpm or vac would cause the 99.9 since it must
reference some sort of fuel map that needs both. Last time I checked, the
MFA was reading rpm but I'll look again. Thanks to Jan's web page for the
test procedure.

Man, I thought it was bad when thieves took my head unit and trashed my
door and dash a couple weeks ago. That REALLY sucks. At least they didn't
take the '91 too. What color is it? Distinguishing features? It'll
probably turn up somewhere without seats or wheels. :(

born when it started up and didn't seem to leak ! It hadn't leaked at all

I have a S16V downpipe/cat with a crack in the flex coupling. I want to
repair it and was referred to Techtonics, yet they no longer sell the kit.
They offered to sell me a downpipe to weld onto my cat :( Does anyone know
if some company out there offers a flex coupling kit for our downpipes?

Installing inserts isn't overly difficult but you'll need a spring
compressor and a good sized vice (or something to hold the strut
while you break the cap free).
While you're there, you'd benefit from replacing both the upper strut
bearing and the ball joint. Given your mileage, they're both

How difficult is it to install inserts? Do I have to remove the strut from
the car? I think I was told I don't need a spring compressor but my memory

someone enlighten me?
Should I always replace the top bearing also? I hav
So the impression I get is that a low mpg reading is likely a vacuum leak
and a high reading is probably a bad sensor on the back of the cluster.
That explains why replacing the short piece of hose 2 months ago had no
effect. I guess I'll replace that when I feel like making the odometer work
