Definitely agree. And actually I'm in the process of converting my own
widget library into MochiKit style with the goal of making it open
source in two or three months. If someone is interested in creating
something new, I'd only be happy to collaborate off-list on that.

library of code that uses MochiKit if someone wants to get that going; I
ported Cody Lindley's jQuery-based ThickBox over to MK quite a while back
and think it would be nice to have similar widgets around for MK to help

About a year ago I found myself in a similar situation, and began
looking in to other libraries besides Mochikit for all of my widget
needs. I ultimately went with the YUI (Yahoo User Interface) library,
and discovered that it in fact works very well with Mochikit. Not
