is it just me or is everyone simply engaging in this list to debate the
merits of being "indie" and to do about those who are not.?
this is where i'm confused, did we like matador bands while they were with
atlantic or no? same w/ the subpop? i know how i feel, but it seems like

I'm new to the list...so maybe my opinion doesn't matter, but the way I
see success is as a double edged sword. You can make it work for you or
you can ruin everything. Many bands have used their success to help
take their music to a new level. Look at the who, and the Beach boys.
DO you think
i'm going to piss all over my pants!!!

writing a simple song is so hard
I'm sure no one from Philly will care about this post, but too bad...it's
rare that I find anyone who cares about these things besides me.
There is no one who carries, or has even heard of, yuengling here in boston.
Whenever I even mention the name people look at me like I'm crazy. They think

It's about the music, people.

Yeah! it is. And as long as the record labels are "about the music" as much as the
band is, then everything should be fine. Are they? I have little knowledge about this.
Does anyone else? Does anyone know anything ab
Please, for the love of god, somebody tell me how to get off this list.

But please, I really gotta get off of here, so HELP ME if you have a soul.

I don't think the people (including me) who are whining about modest mouse
on epic are concerned that it will decrease our personal 'hipness quotient'.
Rather, I was concerned that the music might change. I also wouldn't dig
having to go to a huge venue to see them when now I can see them wi
Hi everyone, i just subscribed. i'm from New Jersey
and first heard modestmouse a year+ ago on the
Princeton University radion station. after that, i
immediately got Lonesome Crouded West. its has
definitely been one of my favorite albums since i got
it. i've slowly been getting more MM stuff
Goddamn, someone said Yuengling. *sigh* I don't get off of work for
another 7 hours...
But as long as we're mentioning black & tan, you haven't had a REAL black &
tan until you've mixed the Harp Lager with the Guinness Stout.
Obtain a pilsner glass, and slowly pour the Harp in first until the

opinion or yours, it's true...i've worked at many record stores & the only
way any indie cd gets
Well I certainly hope they do get them in stock. I ordered mine over the internet
because I didnt feel like driving down to Olympia, but it just might be worth it.

answer. I guess Ill have to call back tomorrow,
Is the Japan Tour EP limited edition? I'd hate for it to sell out, but I'm
