I just want to confirm something with all you smart folks. I recently separated my web servers from my database servers, before I was using Apache::DBI to maintain persistent connections between Apache and Postgres. With this new setup I had to install PgBouncer. Can I now safely remove Apache::DB

I tried all the possible combinations and was unable to get it to work. I ended up reverting to freebsd 9. I tried perl 5.12 thru 5.20. Apache 2.0* 2.2* 2.4* The last ten mod_perl releases. This was a year ago. So I dont remember the specifics but I do remember certain combinations just would not

Hey everyone, I work at a company where we do all our development under ModPerl and FreeBSD servers. Its been a few years since I've been able to compile mod-perl in FreeBSD. Everytime I need a new webserver I need to install FreeBSD9 and Perl 5.22. This has gradually been causing me more and more

Mod Perl is awesome. That said, the cool kids today are all about Plack. Google: Dancer, Mojolicious, Catalyst. These allow you to plugin to all parts of the HTTP protocol, but obviously not to modify apache configuration. Excelent, stable, FAST, production ready HTTP server: Starman Even faster,
