ending soon, including Roy Rogers, Randolph Scott, Tim Holt, Johnny Mack Brown,
Errol Flynn, Allan Rocky Lane, Wild Bill Elliott, William Boyd as Hopalong
Cassidy and many others, in formats ranging from inserts, half
sometimes the title on film (or the original marquees)?has a slightly different
title than the posters.
for example--
film: ? THE BISHOP'S WIFE
but the posters say:??? CARY AND THE BISHOP'S WIFE
film:?? ?THE FILE OF THELMA JORDON
but the

original title, but very quickly was retitled for US theatres because
the studio realized people thought they going to see a Dick Powell
singing comedy

Boris Karloff film. I think the title is so bad that the filmmakers
and poster makers were both confused.
