distributor CIC (Cinema International Corporation) which only started up in the
70s.
More accurately, it can probably be dated to 1974 or thereabouts, as it
uses the same artwork as the Spanish one sheet which handily has
I have a poster that I want to frasme but I really hate linen-backing.
It just rubs me the wrong way.

backing. But I've noticed that most high cost posters in auctions are backed.
So why is that, if most buyers don't want the backing? You see it all the time

From what I read and hear, it's quite a mixed bag, some like backing, some
dislike it and prefer the authentic look, feel and smell. I guess there are
some occassins when backing is the only way, i.e - like you say, when it's

sided poster). Its just that the very few who DO mind like to make a

have linenbacked posters. The main thing is to use some form of UV filtered
plexiglass and acid free backing. There are

I am looking for a restoration provider to address a small hole in a lobby
card I just purchased. The firm I usually use doesn't do many lobby cards,
and I'd like to partner with someone experienced with lobby cards, and if
possible, textured cards (i.e. Warners from the 30s).
