If this goes to a museum, the collection will probably see public access on
never-never day. Remember the final scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Each and every one of the large museums all over the world has a vault like
that, with tons of treasures that may never see the light of day for
So.if it does end up in a museum with little to no access by the
publichow will that be any different than where it is stored now?
I'm sure Morrie shows it to friends every now and thenbut really, we
are a tiny community (movie poster collectors). And I doubt he has
collectors
Is there enough in the collection to warrant a museum buying it? Has Morrie been discerning enough with his choices‎? A more encouraging situation for the sale if this collection, might have been to sell it four lots. With important material taking top lot. I can only see dealers being interested
I thought - could be wrong - that Morrie utilized his collection on an image
rental basis out of New York.
Perhaps the material from his collection will be acquired by another such venue
with images available to all - but perhaps not the pieces themselves.
I suppose this is how the Getty works
Folks-At this time I have 73 original Hollywood Photos up on eBay for auction.
Many have no bids at the $1.99 opener or are at crazy low prices. There should
be many bargains. Many end tomorrow, so take a look. Featured items include:
Joan Crawford stills from Possessed Mildred Pierce,
I think I understand Morrie...he probably invested much timme and money
building he collection..he wants to make sure and see in his lifetime
where the collection goes.. and as far as money he wants to leave a
chunk to his family. and leave the collection behind for somone who will
store it

Wow, that was so exciting I had to cancel a couple of appointments to
watch. Man, someone is very happy now. I hope it will be on display somehow.

As interesting to me would be the multiplier for that Mummy one sheet, both
as it relates to time number of years in the consignor's possession and its
original cost.

I'm doing research on The Terror Of Tiny Town.
I have an original Walter Wanger Release Dialogue Continuity for
Stagecoach from January 31, 1939. This was sent to U.A., and their
scripts were generated from this. This is the earliest version of the
script.
I will TRADE it for an original
Rich,
I know I don't need to tell you that 18 years in the collectibles market is a
very very long time and it might as well been 100 years.
Someone asked me about a month ago what I thought LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT would
go for and I said, at least $500k and maybe as high as the moon.
