For what it's worth... A friend once asked me to take his absolute gem mint 1941 Joe DiMaggio Playball card to a card show and have Joe Di sign it. At the show a well respected dealer told me it would be a huge mistake to get that card signed. Would be better to get a lesser grade card signed to
