really, I'm not entirely certain what Sony's endgame is here, considering that theatre seats aren't selling as well as they were pre-pandemic and the subscription model is kicking ass are they going to use it as a test market for more expensive seating & a different theatre experience as Spiel

I think this may help local theater owners. The biggest threat to local theater owners is private equity gobbling up real estate. They’ve ruined housing so theater real estate is next. I think Sony is seeing the trend that megaplexes are not the draw they used to be and more curated/intimate expe
