I fouled up again and forgot to bid on the Lone Ranger poster in
Bruce's auction. I don't think I got the usual reminder message
today. I might have to start bidding several days before the auction
ends, because my brain is not working right lately.

It is sad you forgot, but this is the one thing the "pro-last second
bidders" rarely mention. Every time someone "forgets" to bid, there is
someone else who bid early who got a better deal because of it.

I agree with your early lowball bid approach. I sometimes do it, but
in this case I didn't for some reason. As a west coast resident, I
have also not quite got used to the fact that your auction times are
central time. Last night at a quarter to seven pacific time, I
suddenly remembered tha
I actually threw a casual (but not necessarily high or lowball) bid
in on last night's Bruce auctions and happily won a poster for $20
less than my bid. And a cool one too!
