Lessons are not simplistic and they are for diverse learners-levels. I can
attest to their depth and breadth. As mentioned by a prior poster--they take a
while to deliver well, sometimes 2-3 days for a lesson. the more you already

WOW! Ginger, the powerpoint "Check your understanding" hit home with me.
The kids who are practicing their strategies in small group guided
reading are sharing their strategy use with one another big time. I
can't wait to share this powerpoint with their teacher. Thanks for

I am teaching 3rd grade for the first time in a Title 1 school. Our school
purchased the kit. I have used it a bit, but if I had to spend my own money
on it, I don't think that it would be worth it for 3rd grade. I have used
some of the readings to practice for our state test coming up soon.
Does anybody NOT like the comprehension tool kit?
My worry is that it's going to be too "packaged"- meaning the lessons are going
to be too simplistic and not truly catering towards the needs of diverse
learners.

I swear by it and other grade levels have bought in and started using it.
It gives me concrete examples of what my teaching should look like and I
