What would be wrong with just choosing some rhyming books/songs...there are
so many. And having fun. And letting him find the rhyming words and
lettingkids mark the rhymes with markers or tape and just having fun for a
while!!! Why a program Great bibliography of appropriate books by

I have a bright student w/ educated supportive parents who is apt at
everything except rhyming and DIBELS"s phoneme segmentation.
I don't know of any assessments that pertai to rhyming and I would like
strategies to begin some early interventions. Please help, somebody?
No luck so far.

Our school district uses Reading Street, as well. I have the audio text
and always have the children "listen" to the story before we actually
read it. This way we get a chance to discuss it so they have a better
understanding of it, before they are expected to read it alone or with a
peer.
