When I was long term subbing in a fourth grade class, I read George
Washington's Socks to the class. Great book and there are many books and web
sites that can give you more ideas. We did plays, too... one was on the Boston
Tea Party. The students loved it and everyone had a part in it.
Oh, yes...I also found something on the weather channel. I can't remember the
title, but it was about Washington and the weather during the war and how
Washington understood the terrain and when to go into battle to surprise the
Brittish. I hope it is still on the video or tv section of the w
