I have liked the McGraw Hill SRA Reading for Information series. They are
paperback books the size of leveled readers. The series has above level, on
level, and below level books. As an SLP I purchased 5 of each title to use in
small groups. I have used them to teach text features.
The Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willemstad is a winner. My kids love
these and they are great for practicing reading expression.
