I attended staff development training in High Yields Strategies based on
Classroom Instruction That Works. The reason that we had the training is
because our principals are required to do Classroom Walkthroughs , which are
on a Blackberry, and they are based on these strategies, with the

Is it helpful to think of the MOT strategies as thinking strategies and label
the Marzano strategies as representation strategies (a way to represent your
thinking)? Just a thought!

I teach at a charter school and am not familiar with training given by the
county. It's sad, but unfortunately, charter schools are frequently left out of
the loop when it comes to changes and their implementation. I wish NCDPI would
do something so that information and needed
