How about Mo William books….. Pig and Elephant books and his Pigeon books.
Kids love them!

I second the Pigeon books by Mo Willems...even through older grades... Kids
find them funny and I use them to hook older kids who like to draw and create
their own comics... How simple line drawings can create emotion and humor...
