I got a call from back home in Long Prairie to tell me that the Sandhill
Cranes that nest in our swamp arrived today. This is one of the earliest

This morning I went north of Aitkin on C.R.1 to check out the owls and
found 5 SHARP-TAILED GROUSE dancing on their lek about 1 and 1/4 miles
north of the diversion channel. What's interesting about this is that
there were 29 GGOs around the field. Three of the owls were within
about a hundred
