After several fruitless attempts to see this bird it was quite easy to
see this morning at about 9:30 perched on top of the small building
marked 2680
and located in the FEDEX parking lot that is on your left just after you
go through the 2nd tunnel(take the 66th St. Exit off Cedar). The bird
At 9AM today there were two Snowy Owls at the south[near] end of the FeDex
parking lot, quite close together. One was on a TV antenna on the small
building just south of the lot, the other on the south-most light post on
the west side of the lot. They were still there when a left at 9:20.

Hi,
I just investigated a flock of mobbing crows and found that they were
upset at a mink dragging a dead or dying rabbit through the snow. Ive
never seen crows mob a predatory mammal before, but I suppose it makes
sense that they would.

Black Dog, west lake on ice

viewed from the observation platform along Black Dog Rd. It was partially
