The previously reported Snowy Owl in SW Dodge Co. has been refound (refound
us). Perhaps our best yard bird ever! My wife, Rebecca, saw the owl behind
our house on top of a grain bin about 5 PM Tuesday.

After a number of unsuccessful searches of the New Ulm City Cemetery over this
winter, I finally found White-winged Crossbills there this morning. I first
found a flock of 4 (one male and three females or immatures) and then about a
half hour later a flock of 15 arrived and foraged for several
5 Pine Siskins, 12+/- Common Redpolls at a feeder on the only N/S street in
Brownsville. (1:30 PM Feb. 4.) Pool 8 of the Miss. R. is entirely ice &
snow-covered, as well as the main (shipping) channel, and the tiny patch of

Jim Howitz reported a Snowy Owl hanging around the Eagan Community Center,
which is west of Pilot Knob between Lone Oak and Yankee Doodle. He also
reported that the owl was also seen along I-35e south of Yankee Doodle. I
looked for the owl today (tuesday) unsuccessfully. I did find a Northern
