The immature golden-crowned sparrow was seen at our feeders in Duluth from 7:15
to 7:45 this morning. It is the first time that I have seen the bird since
January 19.
It is snowing this morning, as it has been on almost all of the days that this
bird has appeared here.

I was mistaken, in my previous message, about the last sighting of the gc
sparrow. It was actually seen last on January 29 rather than on the 19th. So,
about a 4 week interval between appearances.

Great Gray Owl peaked in mid December thru ear
I am currently observing a Boreal Owl in a balsam tree in my front yard,
near Grand Marais. It is perched on a branch near the trunk of the tree,
sleeping, not hunting.
