I, too, still have at least 4 Pine Siskins (2 males with yellow
wing-bars and 2 plain looking likely females) coming to my feeders in
Medina, Hennepin County in the western metro.

We had an exceedingly 'tame' Pine Siskin going back and forth from thistle
feeder to birdbath directly in front of us on the patio last night.
Although, I know it can't be true -- with a tuff of fuzz coming out of one
shoulder and its indistinct streaks -- the bird came across like an immature

Kirsten and I birded at River Bend Nature Center yesterday afternoon. On he
waqy in, on the road by the upper pond, we saw, counted, 40 Yellow-Rumped
Warbers. SLl had the usual lue and yellow in places.
On our way out, at the same area we, saw at least 12 warblers. This time we
A Eurasian Collared-dove in a backyard near the Lutheran Church in Emmons
and one in my yard in rural Hartland today. They are expanding from our
grain elevators to our yards.

presumed that the siskins were nesting in a spruce tree not far from the
feeders by their activity. For the past 10 days of so one or two siskins have

This morning I saw a mystery sparrow along with some Savanah and
Grasshopper Sparrows.
I think it is a LeConte's but I don't have much experience with them
so I thought I would seek some second opinions.

I had 3 lifers today at Kilen Woods!!! They were Gray-cheeked Thrush,
Philadelphia Vireo, and Nashville Warbler.

Late this afternoon, May 8, there was still a flock of ~130 Snow Geese
at the Butterfield sewage ponds in Watonwan Co., and among them were 8
Ross's Geese and 3 Greater White-fronteds. Also present were 2
Willets. (At this same location on May 1, there were 2 Ross's, 4 Gr
