Crosby Park had at least 3 different raptor species present this
afternoon. Overhead there were aerial displays by Bald Eagles, 2
adults and 2 immatures. In the woods by the backwater (east end), a
Sharp-shinned Hawk was hunting. A second hawk appeared at the river's

The 2011 Annual Bluebird Expo will take place on Saturday, April 16 at
Cambridge High School. Program begins at 9 AM. At the place to learn how to

Although the American Robin over-winters here in greater numbers now, it is
still my harbinger of spring. This morning I saw my first of the season out
here on the farm in SW Dodge County.

I took a look around the Bass Ponds in Bloomington this afternoon and found
many ducks and geese in the pond with the highlight being two Greater
White-fronted Geese at the far end of the first pond mixed with many Canada
Geese. They stood out when scanning through the geese because of their
