This morning a couple of RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS joined many HOODED MERGS, a
COMMON MERG, 2 COMMON GOLDENEYE several RING-NECKED DUCKS and a RED-HEAD
DUCK on Red Rock Lake in Eden Prairie/SW Hennepin County.

there was never any mention of where these counts are taking place so visitors
who find themselves in Duluth can stop by and take part of the spring raptor

Yesterday (3-20-11) I had a raven fly over me as I stood in my front yard

This afternoon I got to experience one of those birdwatching moments that
just gives you goosebumps from head to toe (I saved that owl-moment for the
end of this email)... I headed out to Sax-Zim Bog in early afternoon, to
show a birdwatcher around the bog. We were treated to three BOREAL
CHICKADEE
I forgot to add this sighting from earlier... today I observed a

On Saturday, while working in my yard, I had a fly over of 6 Sand-Hill Cranes.
They reminded me of a rowing team, with the coxsman calling out the strokes. A
