a large drying pond (fuddle) on the south side of route 12 about a half mile

A Nelson's Sparrow is at the end of the boardwalk at Old Cedar Avenue,
Bloomington (8:30 am Sunday morning). It has given us several great looks at it
moved through the reeds on both sides of the boardwalk.

I led a guided trip to Sax-Zim Bog today, and had a total of 39 species. One
of the most awe-inspiring sightings of the day was seeing the White-throated
Sparrows moving through. I know that songbirds in general migrate
long-distances by night, and will slowly meander-while-eating their way
