The 700th St. Snowy Owl was observed this morning between 7:40 and 8:10 on
700th St. west of CR 3 between 120th Ave. and 110th Ave. It flew north from a
utility pole and landed out about 1/4 mile in a soybean stubble field near a
grouping of 3 white field marker posts. It stayed there until I

Saw the Varied Thrush today @1100-1130. It was mostly hanging around by
itself in usual spot, but was also hanging around with an American Robin,
moving around the general area.

Hi,
Out walking today at Lake Rebecca PR, I found a Hermit thrush (late? early?
over-wintering?). It was observed just off the trail that runs along Rattail
Lake, that starts off of Co Rd 92. A photo was summitted to Recently Seen on
the MOU website.
Later I refound the Townsend's Solitaire
I just got back from a bird trip through Morrison, Crow Wing, and Aitkin
Counties. Got a Varied Thrush in N.E. Morrison. Found 4 Magpies in Crow Wing,
along with an American Three Toed Woodpecker, Pine Grossbeaks, White
Winged Crossbills, and Trumpeters. In Aitkin we got a Snowy Owl at the
This afternoon the sound of tapping led me to a male Three-toed Woodpecker
in northeastern Crow Wing County. The bird was initially in the southeast
corner of the intersection of CR1 and Low's Lake Rd (about 2.3 miles from
