Saw a solitary hermit thrush this morning near Cedar Lake in Minneapolis.
Bird flew across path just after where the road ends near Hidden Beach on the
NE side of the lake.

This is just a quick notice about the upcoming "Masters of the Sky" programs
hosted at Carpenter Nature Center on March 3rd & 4th.
The World Bird Sanctuary will be in town with 5-7 trained birds of prey from
around the world, including an Egyptian Vulture and a Eurasian Eagle Owl.

Highlights this morning at Rapids Lake MVNWR were some repeats and a few recent
arrivals. The male Northern Harrier soared over Rapids Lake. The Swamp

The last two afternoons on the way home from work, I've observed a few horned
larks in Sherburne, Benton and Mille Lacs counties. Last Saturday I saw 3
horned larks in two places in Stearns County.
