Golden eagle, 3 turkey vultures and a bluebird on a nest box at Carpenter
Nature Center around 3-4pm today. Came home to our place outside of Hugo
and saw our first bluebird on our new property--nestbox advice would be
appreciated as we are new to this part of NA. Other new arrivals this week

Perhaps of interest, a nice locale (Deer Creek outflow of Deer Lake), south of
Buffalo, CR12, Right on Rd108. Water is in the main channel, but the floodplain
is muddy. Not the hundreds reported from S-MN, but an excellent species
number: Not reported much in Wright, here a lone Greater White-
The first Canada Geese arrived on territory on Quiggley Lake in Eagan on
Saturday.

At Randolph Industrial Park at about 3PM onm Sunday, we saw 3 apir of Redhead
and 1 drake Canvasback, plus a Loggerhead Shrike and an American Kestrel. At
Lake Byllesby we saw in excess of 1500 Lesser Snow geese, including several
hundred blue phase. Ther wee over 1000 Canada geese, and several

I took a quick spin around Winona's Prairie Island today looking for waterfowl.
The numbers were nothing like the reports coming in from Byllesby and other
areas, but there was a nice variety of species, highlighted by a good number of
