Yesterday I led a trip to Duluth with a group of birders coming from
locally (Duluth) as well as Florida. It was fun to talk about bird
experiences from other parts of the country. We covered the northern half
of the bog, however several roads are impassable. To enter Sax-Zim Bog, the

I went to check out the Acadian Flycatcher reported by Caleb A.
yesterday. I did hear what I believe was the flycatcher in the exact
spot described by Caleb. The bird was not seen but seemed to be
hanging out in a stand of large Eastern Cottonwood trees. Airplane

yards South of the 103 St./Hadley Ave parking area for Grey Cloud Dunes,
SNA in Cottage Grove at 10:30 AM.
A Swainson's Hawk carrying vegetation was also seen soaring above the
Jamaica Ave./US 10/61 intersection on the South sid
Since I have run into so many Dickcissel quite casually the past few weeks
across Carver County, I decided to do a more thorough count of Dickcissel this
morning. I found 1 copulating pair and 58 territories totaling 62 Dickcissel.
