Not sure why Erik did not post something here about a plover he found this
morning in Duluth, but on the Facebook Bird ID group he posted a picture of an
interesting plover:

Although the colouration is certainly intriguing, in the second photo it
appears as though four primaries project beyond the tertials and P8 projects
past the tail, which more or less rules out Pacific. I wasn't able to get a

Wilson's Snipe, Nelson's Sparrow, American Pipet, Rusty Blackbirds. It was
great to be out in the fall colors and birding again!

I observed a flock of appx. 15 at 1:30 Saturday, but was unable to identify
them.
They were above Upper and Crosby Lakes in St. Paul. I observed them from the
bluff, about 300' above the lake. They were flying about 100 to 500 feet
