I will be going up to the North Shore tonight and will bird it tomorrow to
Grand Marais. I was wondering if the Cassins Kingbird, Mountain Bluebird,
and the Chat are still being seen, or any other interesting birds? On
Sunday I will be taking Hwy 1 out of Illgen City over to Effie and then I
will
Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR: 15 WW Crossbills pursued by apparent Merlin,
GC Kinglets (few stay all year), Common Raven.
Ann Lake very quiet, no solitaires or winter finches last two days. Much
hunting, wear orange.

Van Hapka of Warren called at 8:45 this morning to report a Snowy Owl
sitting on a field drain pipe on 190th St and 310th Ave NW just south of
Warren MN in Polk County.
Around noon today, I spotted a Golden Eagle flying in the fields south of
MN Hwy 1near 290th Ave NW (Marshall County).

There was one lone Black Scoter on the southernmost pond at the Browsndale
Sewage Ponds at about 10AM today.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, a Snowy Owl was sighted in Bemidji's Industrial Park.

I had one female Pine Grosbeak here eating black oil sun seeds in the late
afternoon today, I have not seen them here for 2 years and never before
when there was no snow on the ground.
