This morning at 6:30 I found four white-faced ibises in the southwest
corner of the intersection of Highway 16 and highway 26. They were very
close to the road feeding in the grass

This morning I had 7 WHITE-FACED IBIS, four of them were in the flooded grassy
area just south of the intersection of 16 and 26, the other three were in the
original location viewed from the canoe launch. One of them at the canoe launch
has very little white around the face and the facial skin

begun to arrive. Yellowlegs and White-rumped Sandpipers were present, but
I didn't stick around long enough to count/positively ID all birds. Last

This afternoon when the bittern came out in the SW marsh some folks in
their exuberance to get good photos, wandered way off the road. As a
photographer I can understand the strong desire to get good photos.
However, I would like to remind folks that the land encompassing and

Yesterday, I counted 8 fox sparrows and 30-40 juncos feeding actively under
and on the sunflower and thistle feeders. Today I was only able to see 3
juncos at most and most times I looked out, it was totally empty under the
feeders. Amazing what a sunny 70 degree day will do.
