There are 40 R-n Phalaropes at the Heron Lake sewage ponds just south of town.
They were mostly in the SE area in the back.

13 enthusiastic birders showed and Birded 4 hours and tallied 54 species!
Highlights included 14 species of warblers including Golden Winged ,

I spent the last few hours of yesterday along Park Point, just beyond the
Sky Harbor airport. Three Buff-breasted Sandpipers made an exciting
appearance, as did Sanderlings, a Semipalmated Plover, distant American

I noticed this year a, for me, surprising lack of sightings of both Western
and Eastern Kingbirds. Over the past 5 years I have lived in this area I've
had many sightings--but not this year--maybe no more than 10 birds since

I spent about 5 hours birding the Minnesota River valley this morning with good
warbler variety and numbers. Despite the numbers of birds I counted, there
are still stretches of trail without any activity and many warbler can be
easily missed as they silently(or very quietly) feed. Warbling
