That’s kind of funny because several years ago my brother Bill George and I
“chased” it at Whitewater. We hung out at the place you described. I was
doubting Thomas because I had never chased a bird. We waited and waited and
then I thought I heard its call. We played it’s song and shortly the
This morning Maureen & I covered 7+ miles of Wm O'Brien's trails on the
west side of Hwy. 95. For the most part there weren't a lot of birds,
but we had some interesting finds.
Just the best:
Am. Bittern - FOY
Sora - 2, heard only
Horned Grebe - 1 on the pond inside the Prairie Overlook Trail
The yellow-throated warbler is back again this year. Seen and heard in the
white pines along the road by the visitors center

Comcast email addresses are having issues with sending and receiving to
MOU-NET. Some sent message make it through, and some don't.
The reason there was not a response from the admins when sending to
owner-mou-...@lists.umn.edu was due to comcast not the list itself.
Anything sent from a comcast

The Common Tern I found on May 1 is still present today at the marsh on the
north side of Co. Rd. 27 a mile east of Co. Rd. 1. This is north of Pennock
a few miles. The Terns are on the center island with 17 Forster's Terns.

I woke up to a welcome sight in my bird feeder this morning: a male
Rose-breasted Grosbeak. After tromping all over yesterday for such a sight,
all I had to do today was look out my window for a first of the year for
me.
