A bluebird trail maintained at the Wayzata Country Club for the past 20 years
needs a new monitor. There presently are 28 boxes placed throughout the
regulation 18-hole course, a nine-hole pitch-and-putt layout, and a large
practice area. The boxes are used by bluebirds, tree swallows, house
I have been spending a lot of time 40 miles north of Two Harbors both in the
Greenwood Forest Fire Burn Area, and just south of the burn. Yesterday I

I just had a flock of 30+ Common Redpolls in my yard with a couple stopping at
my feeder on Woodtick Trail in the Chippewa Nat'l Forest. My friend, nearby on
Baby Lake, showed me a photo of Red Crossbills at his feeder last week. I also
had an unexpected visit from a Black-billed Magpie to my
