The snowy owl near Hogan and 180 street in Dakota county was still being seen
on Tuesday, Februay 4. It had been hunting from a perch on a piece of
irrigation equiptment but was frightened off by several photographers who got
out of there cars and starting walking through the snowy field to g

The Great-tailed Grackle was still present in McLoed Cty. at the previously
posted location at 11:30 am on 5/13. The homeowner said it is singing less
frequently, but still active at the rear of his property.

Warbler at Frontenac State Park. 5 Dunlin were also sighted on Sand Point
for only the 5th time in 39 years. It was a wonderful, hardy group of 88
birders who almost never complained about the weather!!

grosbeak was still at the feeder on Superior St. in Duluth as of 8:55 this

The Brown Pelican was still at German Lake in LeSeuer County as of 4:45 this
afternoon (6/29). Believe it or not, it was roosting on the same rock as Chad
Heim's post at 8:30 this morning. Thank you for that post, Chad, and good

Today (5/24) I saw a singing Bell's Vireo - which was originally found by Carol
Brysky on 5/23 - in a small area of trees and shrubs surrounded by grassland
acrosse Goodhue County 2 from the entrance to Frontenac State Park. I
heard a Yellow-billed Cuckoo in the same area.
