Greetings All:
Yesterday morning while at break, a co-worker mentioned to me that he and his
brother had found a Snowy Owl on Sunday (Feb. 2nd) while coyote hunting. I
eventually met up with Andrew Nyhus and Dedrick Benz Monday afternoon (Feb.

Good morning! I want to apologize for the late post and for yesterday's
mis-identification of the apparent Laughing Gull seen at both landfill
reservoirs west of Rochester. Chuck Krulas and I discovered the bird around 8
am and efforts were made pretty much all day to
will dead end at the Lake City Sportsman's Club. A
left will take you past the DNR office. Just after the DNR office is a
littlle pull-off where many gulls, including the glaucous and kittiwake,
were congregating out on this point around 100 yds. from shore.
Good Luck and Good Birding!!

The sparrows have been present in at least 15 counties, if not more (!),
this summer.
To follow-up: Chris Benson, along with his cousin Murphy, also saw/heard the
sparrow today, Sunday, around mid-morning.

Today my brother, Chris, found a 1st year SUMMER TANAGER at Hok-si-la park,
near Lake City, in Goodhue county. The bird was found around 9:30 a.m.
Both Dave Zumeta and myself were able to share this nice find with Chris.
We heard the bird sing a few times, comparing it with both

few least, and several snipe.
