That is unfortunate. I hope that the MOU proceeds with some form of
recognition for the town. I think it was extraordinary what they did.

Mississippi across from Xcel Energy near the high bridge. I have no interest
in aging gulls-suffice to say this individual appeared very pale (2nd winter?).

I'm with Steve and Jon. Steve Weston, Scott Meyer and others report many, many
sightings. Birders should be grateful for that rather than begrudge the rare
instance where they deem the interest of the bird trumps that of the mob.

Ventured out to Randolph Industrial Park this past Sunday. All indications are
that they plan to develop this site in the coming year. There is new signage
that proclaims "coming autumn 2013" and there are numerous large earth-moving
machines staging at the roads terminus. This was inevitable
I saw a Chipping Sparrow today gleaning what it could find alongside of
Contract Interiors (120 W Plato Blvd) in St. Paul. There are some ornamental
conifers that line the building so perhaps the bird has some fidelity to that
location as a roosting site. There are several businesses that fee
