A song sparrow appeared at my feeders in Meadowlands this morning. Photos were
taken.
I may be wrong, but it seems somewhat late...perhaps my perception is colored
by the -7 temperature.

In response to Jim Robey, I have 15 to 20 Pine Siskins coming to my feeders in
the Sax Zim Bog. I have been here only since yesterday, filled the feeders
and Siskins, chickadees and (yes] starlings showed up at once. I think it
helps to have 3 inches of snow on the ground.

Welcoming me on my return to the Bog today was a gorgeous Rough legged hawk on
133 about a mile west of 53.

Between 1100 and 1200 today Peder Svingen and I observed a Wilsons phalarope in
the company of a Stilt sandpiper, least sandpiper and a number of lesser
yellowlegs. The birds were in the far end of the ball fields.
